What began as a regular school day for Little Jesus and his friend Lazarus was anything but an ordinary school day! Joined by Lazarus' sisters Martha and Mary, the boys head to the marketplace after school. Their task was simple: get the items that Little Jesus' Imma had on her shopping list. The children planned a stop to visit with the old Saba and see for themselves this little bluebird of which Little Jesus was so fond. However, when they arrived the kids realized that their simple trip to the market had turned into an exciting mission to solve a crime.
Little Jesus and the Marketplace Thief introduces children to the values of responsibility and accountability as the four youngsters see the person who has taken Saba's bird. The children learn about grace and forgiveness as Little Jesus and Saba discuss the importance of these virtues.
Additionally, children will learn more about the community where Little Jesus grew up. They'll see Marth and Mary home with their Imma while Lazarus and Little Jesus attend school. They'll learn about the excitement that comes with responsibility such as shopping for the items that Imma (Little Jesus' Imma) asked them to purchase.
