The young John Vianney felt called to the priesthood, but he struggled in his studies. Eventually John hired a tutor, worked hard, and was ordained. Sent to the French village of Ars, he cared deeply for the poor, and he founded a home for orphaned and homeless girls. Despite demonic attacks, he brought his parish close to God. The beloved, humble "Cur d'Ars" often spent up to 16 hours a day hearing confessions.
